Trump's Environmental Record: A Fast and Furious 100 Days

Trump's Environmental Record: A Fast and Furious 100 Days [SWOP NEWS]

Unleashing 'Toxic Trump':

Trump’s first term was stocked full of deregulation and rollbacks. Now it seems like his administration is set on delivering a second, even more disastrous term. In the first 100 days of returning to the White House, President Trump has worked on pushing out an unprecedented 145 actions to undo rules protecting clean air, water, landscapes, and even wildlife.

Trump versus The Climate:

In the short span from his January inauguration, Trump’s blitzkrieg against environmental regulations has been quite impressive in its sheer velocity and scope. We're looking at a dizzying rate of more than one rollback a day apparently aimed at curbing the effects of climate change and protecting delicate ecosystems. Initial analysis shows the new term’s rate of environmental deregulation is set to blow the first term’s modest 110 rollbacks out of the water.

The Aftermath Heads-up:

While the administration is attempting an aggressive and speedy effort to cut regulations, these moves face severe legal challenges which could effectively stall the attempted deregulation. The twist: even as lawsuits steadily rack up, the relentless pace might still wreak unprecedented damage. As winsome as it might feel, it’s somewhat hard not to fear that the very fabric of our environment might be on the line.
